Weather Alerts:
New Diana ISD monitors the National Weather Service and local meteorologist forecasts before making decisions to close or delay school. School officials will provide details about school closings to staff, students and parents.
Safety is our upmost concern. There are many factors to consider before making a weather-related decision about school closings.
*Staff who live outside district, their ability to get to work.
*Our HVAC Systems are working properly;
*The visible presence of snow, ice or sleet;
*Parking lot and sidewalk conditions;
*Road conditions, temperatures; and
*Student driver safety.
New Diana ISD will update and send alerts through our multiple communication tools. We will post updates to parents through parent portal, mass phone notification system. Alerts and updates will also be found on our social media and the local media school closing section of the news.
