Welcome Coach Keenan Kitchens

We would like to welcome Keenan Kitchens to our New Diana ISD Eagle family.  


Coach Kitchens will be the new Defensive Coordinator for the New Diana football program and teach Physical Education.  He is married to Jenee Kitchens and they have 3 children; Karoline (6) Charley (4) Kruz (2).  Coach Kitchens enjoys hunting, fishing and Church in his leisure time.  

 

Coach Kitchens brings 15 years in educational experience to New Diana ISD.  Coach Kitchens began his career in Hereford ISD in 2006, coaching the defensive backs.  During his 6 year tenure in Hereford, the program achieved the following results; 2006 (10-2) Area Finalist, 2007 (8-5) Regional, Semi-Finalist, 2009 (11-2) Regional Semi-Finalist, 2010 (9-4) Regional Semi-Finalist and in 2012 (5-7) Area Finalist.  Coach Kitchens then moved into the defensive coordinator role at Lubbock Cooper in 2013.  During his 6 year tenure at Lubbock Cooper, the program achieved the following results; 2013 (11-3) Regional Finalist, 2014 (8-4) Area Finalist, 2015 (9-2) Area Finalist, 2016 (10-3) Regional Semi- Finalist, 2017 (7-5) Area Finalist, and in 2018 (13-1) Regional Finalist.  Coach Kitchens moved to Athens in 2019, serving as the defensive coordinator.  Athens was a 6-5 Bi-District contender in 2019.

   

Coach Kitchens attended Eastern New Mexico University from 2001 to 2005, earning a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Physical Education.  Coach Kitchens also played football for 5 seasons during his time at the University.
